| First published in 1921, ‘The Wanderings of a Spiritualist’ is a personal account of spiritualism by the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Doyle had publicly professed his belief in spiritualism some years earlier and was a keen proponent of the movement despite much public opposition and ridicule. ‘The Wanderings of a Spiritualist’ recounts the spiritualist lecture tour of New Zealand and Australia which Doyle undertook in the early 1920s.
