Abstrakt
| Prague is considered by many to be the most beautiful city in the world. Is this because of its picturesque urban structure, preserved consistent historic city center or excellent component architecture? Even taken together, these are still not enough to earn it this title. We find deeper connections here, stronger bonds that give Prague the seal of exceptionality. We are talking about an organizational structure that holds everything together, gives everything consistency and logic. A hidden geometric structure that gives order to what seems like chaos on its surface. Something like a bond that holds the universe together. This bond is the hidden geometry that unifies the old cities of Prague into a single compositional whole. Connecting everything with everything. Pieces of a puzzle that fit together perfectly. In the layout of the historical center of Prague, we can discern specific dimensions, continually repeating in various multiples. All dimensions, such as the dimensions of streets or construction sites, their lengths and widths, are interrelated and firmly connected. Evidently, the principle taken from antiquity, based on the experience of Roman surveyors, is applied here. Prague thus becomes part of the curriculum of Order. We will not get lost in her secrets. Its mysterious inner spaces are always part of a broader meaningful structure that ties them together like mysteriously luminous facets of gemstone.. |
