Abstrakt
| Evaluating the efficiency of hospitals is one of the important areas of public economics and public policy. The paper is focused on the international evaluation of the technical efficiency of hospital care in the Czech Republic and the chosen federal state of Germany, BadenWürttemberg, in the years 2010-2019 according to input-oriented DEA models. Two models were calculated in the research. Model M1 is based on assumptions of constant returns to scale, and model M2 assuming variable returns to scale. It was confirmed, in case of both models, that the average technical efficiency rate of the Czech Republic for the years 2010-2019 is lower than the average value of the technical efficiency rate of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. It was also confirmed, that the reduction of hospital beds is possible in both Czech Republic and Baden-Württemberg.. |
