The text presents the results of research conducted among Chinese and Czech students from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing and the VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava (VŠB - Technická Univerzita Ostrava) in 2017 and 2018. Due to the fact that communication between representatives from culturally different countries requires additional understanding of intercultural differences, which might be of particular importance in future trade, both in the case of running small and large joint projects, the article aims to indicate the similarities and differences in perception of harmony in communication by representatives of the young generation of the inhabitants of both countries..
