Abstrakt
| Organized crime poses a security risk, threatens and destabilizes the economies of states, including the disruption of political stability. Exploitation of world globalization, unstable political systems, social differences between people, multicultural weakening of the majority society, free movement of goods, capital and persons without control of individual states throughout the European Union. The Schengen area has become a breeding ground for organized crime, which migrates in disparate territories and helps to cooperate insufficiently and inform individual countries to detect them. Contribution to past and present organized crime crime and how organized groups use national citizens’ mistrust of top institutions, political power, inconsistent legislation and adverse economic conditions to spread and increase their influence and profits in these Member States. The following methods were used in the paper: content analysis of documents, general cognitive methods, comparative method and method of generalization of knowledge of police and investigative practice. Findings from interviews with economics experts and economic crime investigators were also used.. |
